Passionate about sustainable agriculture & as hard a worker as they come, Suho is the fearless leader behind Black Table Farm. With the support of his wife Nam, Black Table Farm has grown from a dream to a reality over the years! As our family grows, with the birth of James (Eunwoo) in 2020, so does our farm and ability to produce even more great vegetables for all to enjoy!

our story
The Black Table Farm story begins when Suho moved from Korea to British Columbia and met Nam. Suho started his farming career as an intern with Innercity farm, where he developed a passion for sustainable agriculture through urban farming. In 2018, Suho & Nam started their own farm in Aldergrove, building greenhouses, irrigation, cold storage, and healthy soil – from the ground up!
Black Table Farm operated a CSA for the past 4 years, in addition to attending Langley farmers markets and working with local restaurants. Growing on less than 1 acre- efficient.
In March 2020, Nam + Suho welcomed their son James (future farmer?) to the world! While raising a baby, they worked tirelessly to continue growing their farm business, and support the community with fresh, organically grown vegetables. Suho and Nam are excited to continue to grow the farm and look forward to expanding their team with more farm staff.
Growing on less than an acre, means the farm functions extremely efficiently. Currently, the farm is not certified organic, but we use organic practices and are passionate about growing sustainably.

Black Table Farm: The name speaks volumes about our commitment to quality. ‘Black table’ signifies rich, fertile soil, translating into the vibrant, nutrient-packed veggies we deliver straight to your table. 
The Branch (Crop): A new addition to our logo, representing growth, progress, and the flourishing connection we’ve cultivated with each of you. As we extend this branch, we’re embracing the past accomplishments and eagerly anticipating future chapters in our farming journey together.
Gratitude: Six years in, and we’re filled with gratitude for every bit of support from our amazing community, farmers market patrons, and cherished restaurant partners. Your belief in sustainable, local farming fuels our passion.
